Manchester United have opened talks with the agent of Inter Milan goalkeeper Samir Handanovic, according to a report.
The Red Devils are said to have made an enquiry over the Slovenian stopper's availability earlier this month, with the wheels now in motion to get a deal complete this summer.
Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport claims that the 30-year-old's representative flew into Manchester earlier this week to begin discussions with United chiefs.
Handanovic, who has one year remaining on his current contract at San Siro, is thought to be seen as the ideal replacement for David de Gea should the Spaniard join Real Madrid at the end of the season.
