Manchester United are reportedly edging closer to a £75m deal for Borussia Dortmund attacker Jadon Sancho.
The England international has been the subject of a year-long transfer saga surrounding a move to Old Trafford, as the Red Devils refused to meet Dortmund's £108m asking price last summer.
While the Bundesliga outfit have now softened their stance on Sancho, they supposedly rejected an opening £67m bid from United, who are now understood to have come back with an improved offer.
According to The Mirror, United are 'super confident' of securing Sancho's signature ahead of the 2021-22 campaign, with the Red Devils expecting to agree a £75m fee with Dortmund.
United's preferred payment structure was reported to be holding up negotiations, and the report now claims that Dortmund are keen to receive most of the fee up front before pocketing more with performance-related add-ons.
Dortmund are supposedly hoping to complete a deal before the end of July, and Edinson Cavani is said to be willing to give up his number seven shirt for Sancho should he arrive.
