Manchester United are reportedly considering a move for Borussia Monchengladbach defender Ramy Bensebaini, who could potentially replace Luke Shaw.

Manchester United have allegedly identified Borussia Monchengladbach defender Ramy Bensebaini as a potential transfer target.

While United currently have Luke Shaw and Alex Telles as options at left-back, neither player can claim to have made a sustained impact in the position this season.

Shaw has played the majority of games, making a total of 22 starts in all competitions, but his long-term future at Old Trafford may be in doubt.

According to Fichajes, United have taken an interest in Bensebaini, whose consistency at Monchengladbach has allegedly not gone unnoticed.

Although the Algeria international has featured in an under-performing team this campaign, he has still contributed three goals and one assist from 13 Bundesliga outings.

The report claims that United would have to shell out €25m (£20.94m) to get a deal over the line, even with Bensebaini only being tied to Monchengladbach until 2023.
