Manchester United are reportedly contemplating whether to make an approach for Brighton & Hove Albion defender Tariq Lamptey.

Manchester United have reportedly identified Brighton & Hove Albion defender Tariq Lamptey as a potential replacement for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Despite holding down a regular role at right-back, Wan-Bissaka has received frequent criticism for a number of errors this season.

With Diogo Dalot still having failed to dislodge him from his position, United are known to be in the market for extra competition for the 24-year-old.

According to Fichajes, the Premier League giants are contemplating whether to make an approach for Lamptey during one of the upcoming transfer windows.

While a hamstring injury has restricted the 21-year-old to seven appearances this season, the Englishman is first choice in the position when fit.

Although the former Chelsea youngster has a contract at the Amex Stadium until 2025, the Seagulls may give consideration to a sale for the right price.
