Manchester United are reportedly preparing to rival Liverpool for the signature of FC Dallas starlet Ricardo Pepi.
The 18-year-old has been in scintillating form during the 2021 MLS season, netting 13 goals and setting up two more in 27 appearances in his breakthrough campaign.
Pepi has also proven his worth on the international stage with three goals from four appearances for the USA since making his debut last month, and his form has reportedly attracted the interest of Liverpool.
However, The Mirror claims that Man United are also vying for the services of Pepi, who is 'desperate' to secure a move to a European club over the winter.
The report adds that Brentford and Brighton & Hove Albion are also monitoring developments surrounding Pepi's future, and the forward also has admirers in the Bundesliga and Serie A.
Pepi is contracted to Dallas until the summer of 2026, and the MLS outfit are supposedly holding out for a fee of £10m to sanction a sale.
