Manchester United reportedly remain interested in signing Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries.
For a number of transfer windows, United have been credited with an interest in various right-backs with the position proving to be a problem area.
However, that has not necessarily been the case this term with Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka both doing themselves justice when called upon by Erik ten Hag.
Dalot starred during the first half of the campaign, his form being enough to earn himself a spot in Portugal's World Cup and put himself in line for a new contract.
Meanwhile, Wan-Bissaka has come back into favour since December, being given the chance to impress when Dalot was injured and generally getting the nod over the more attack-minded player since then.

Providing that Dalot pens a new deal as expected in the coming weeks and months, United could decide to prioritise other areas of the pitch ahead of 2023-24.
Nevertheless, it remains a possibility that United could revisit their long-term targets if an opportunity arises to make a statement signing.
According to Football Insider, Ten Hag is still an admirer of Dumfries and would be interested in adding him to his squad.
Although Dumfries has been in and out of the starting lineup this season, he has still made 31 appearances in all competitions, as well as making five starts for the Netherlands at the World Cup.

Despite being an important member of Simone Inzaghi's squad at San Siro, Dumfries is a dispensable asset who could be sold for the right price.
Inter may be open to significantly boosting their financial position, while the 26-year-old only has a contract until 2025.
The Italian giants would still expect to generate in the region of £40m for Dumfries if they were to give the green light to a sale.
United would unlikely face any competition from fellow long-term admirers Chelsea who have already signed Malo Gusto from Lyon ahead of next season.
