Manchester United have reportedly agreed a deal worth up to £20m for Benfica playmaker Nicolas Gaitan.
The 24-year-old has been linked with the English champions for a number of months, with Sir Alex Ferguson believed to be determined to land the Argentina international.
It is thought that the Red Devils are willing to offer Rafael Da Silva and Federico Macheda to the Portuguese club in order to clinch the midfielder, according to The Telegraph.
Reports have suggested that Rafael will be offloading to Benfica on a temporary loan deal, while 20-year-old striker Macheda could make the move permanently.
It is understood that Gaitan has a £38m buy-out clause, which Benfica would reportedly prefer to accept, despite initially being reluctant to let go of their star man.
