Manchester United and Arsenal reportedly decide to send scouts to watch Norwich City defender Ben Godfrey.

Manchester United and Arsenal have reportedly identified Norwich City defender Ben Godfrey as a potential signing.

Both of the Premier League giants are expected to be in the market for new additions to their backline in the summer, and it appears that a move for a Championship player could be in the offing.

According to The Mirror, United and Arsenal will have scouts present for Sunday's East Anglian derby between Norwich and Ipswich Town.

The report suggests that Lyon and RB Leipzig are also sending scouts to the game in order to watch Godfrey, who is said to be on the brink of earning a first cap with England Under-21s.

The 21-year-old - who impressed on loan at Shrewsbury Town in League One last season - still has just under three-and-a-half years remaining on his contract.
