Manchester United are reportedly considering a £35.5m bid for Benfica striker Anderson Talisca, who is currently on loan at Besiktas and has also been linked with Wolves.

Manchester United have reportedly identified Benfica striker Anderson Talisca as a potential transfer target this summer.

The 24-year-old is currently in the final year of a two-season loan spell at Turkish outfit Besiktas, where he helped the club to the Super Lig title last season with 17 goals in 33 games across all competitions.

Talisca's form this season earned him a surprise call-up to the latest Brazil squad, and Portuguese outlet A Bola reports that United are now keeping tabs on the attacker.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have previously been linked with a big-money move for Talisca should they earn automatic promotion to the Premier League this season, with agent Jorge Mendes enjoying a close relationship with the Championship leaders.

However, Wolves' €30m (£26.6m) bid could now be overshadowed by United, who are thought to be lining up a €40m (£35.5m) approach for the Brazil Under-23 international.

United boss Jose Mourinho has previously played down the possibility of making further attacking additions to his squad this summer, but Tuesday's Champions League exit at the hands of Sevilla could force him back into the transfer market.
