Manchester United have reportedly joined the race to sign Lille centre-back Sven Botman this summer.
The 22-year-old revealed earlier this month that he expects to leave the French outfit in this summer's transfer window after missing out on a move in January.
Lille were keen to keep hold of Botman earlier this year as they were competing in the knockout rounds of the Champions League, but now that last season's Ligue 1 champions have failed to qualify for Europe, the defender is set to seek pastures new in the summer.
Newcastle United and AC Milan have both been strongly linked with Botman, and according to Football Insider, the latter are in 'advanced talks' to sign the Dutchman for around £25m.
However, the report adds that Man United are the latest club to express their interest in Botman, with the defender's name discussed between incoming boss Erik ten Hag and director of football John Murtough.
Botman, who is under contract at the Stade Pierre Mauroy until June 2025, has made 31 appearances for Lille across all competitions this term, scoring three goals.
