Manchester United have reportedly not instigated talks to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar.
Despite United being on the brink of earning a return to the Champions League, head coach Erik ten Hag is eager to strengthen his forward line in the summer.
The likes of Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane, Napoli's Victor Osimhen and Juventus' Dusan Vlahovic have all been linked with a switch to Old Trafford.
However, there have been conflicting reports over how much United are willing to spend - and can spend - on a new attacker when they are also going through a takeover process.
In recent days, though, it has been claimed that the Red Devils have been mulling over making a formal approach for Neymar during the next transfer window.

A report in L'Equipe has indicated that discussions have already been taking place between the relevant parties with regards to completing what would inevitably be a complex deal.
Nevertheless, the Daily Mail says that no talks are underway before United and PSG and the former are currently not planning to express an interest.
Neymar's future at Parc des Princes has been a hot topic for debate with PSG ultras having recently called for his exit from the club by launching abuse at the player outside of his house.
The 31-year-old has not represented PSG since February 19, a consequence of what proved to be a season-ending ankle injury that has left club officials increasingly unconvinced that retaining the Brazil international's services is not in everyone's best interests.

Although Neymar chipped in with 15 goals and 13 assists in Ligue 1 and the Champions League this campaign, he made just 24 starts and two substitute outings in those competitions.
PSG are also keen to boost their position with FFP over the coming months, as well as oversee a change in strategy where they invest in younger talent rather than established names.
Chelsea have been credited with an interest in Neymar, although their failure to secure European football for 2023-24 will likely count against them.
Neymar has just over two years left on his contract, one which will seemingly not be extended by PSG in the foreseeable future.
