Marquinhos says that he is "happy" at Roma despite reported interest from Barcelona and Manchester United.

Brazilian centre-back Marquinhos has dismissed talk of a move away from Roma by insisting that he is "happy" at the Stadio Olimpico.

Barcelona and Manchester United have both been linked with the 18-year-old, who joined the Giallorossi from Corinthians last summer.

"I'm a Roma player, I have a contract and I'm very happy to be here," he told Sky Sport Italia.

"I made the choice to come here together with my family and my agent, and I am happy with the decision. I have another four years on my contract."

Reports suggested that Roma turned down a €25m (£21.6m) bid from Barca.
