Anthony Martial may reportedly struggle to secure an exit from Manchester United unless he is prepared to lower his wage demands.

Manchester United may reportedly struggle to part ways with Anthony Martial unless the forward is prepared to lower his wages.

Earlier this month, the Frenchman's agent revealed that Martial was keen to secure an exit from Old Trafford after falling down the pecking order.

More recently, it has been claimed that the 26-year-old has held discussions about his future with interim boss Ralf Rangnick, who has already insisted that he does not intend on trying to persuade any want-away player to stay at the club.

However, according to The Athletic, a transfer is only likely to materialise if Martial is happy to take a pay-cut at another club.

The report says that the frontman is on £240,000 per week, a figure which will almost certainly not be matched by any interested clubs during a pandemic.

A loan exit appears to be the only realistic option, but that will likely be dependent on whether United are prepared to subsidise a portion of his income.

Martial allegedly regards Sevilla as one of his favoured destinations.
