Jose Mourinho reveals ongoing Wayne Rooney pursuit

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho reveals the club's ongoing pursuit of Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney, despite having seen two bids already rejected for the striker.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that the club are making every effort to sign Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney.

The England international has become disillusioned with life at Old Trafford and is said to be seeking a move away.

Chelsea have been heavily linked with the former Everton teenager and have so far had two bids rejected for Rooney.

Mourinho is quoted in The Telegraph as saying: "We are far away so we are not in England to know every detail but, we are doing things in the correct way.

"We made the bid and Manchester United have reacted, let see what happens. But we can't do more than we are doing now."

A recent report claimed that Rooney would hand in a transfer request in an attempt to force through a move.
