David Moyes warns clubs interested in Declan Rice that it will take "humongous money" to sign the West Ham United lynchpin this summer.

West Ham United manager David Moyes has warned potential suitors that they will need to fork out "humongous money" to try to prise Declan Rice away from the London Stadium.

The England international continues to thrive under the Scotsman's wing in the capital and is being strongly linked with a move to either Chelsea, Manchester City or Manchester United in the summer.

Moyes has always affirmed that West Ham will do everything in their power to keep hold of Rice, and the Hammers boss has now sent a stern message to interested parties over his price tag.

"You'll need humongous money to get close. In the summer, I thought Declan Rice was £100 million. That was the sales. That was your chance to get him cheap," Moyes told reporters at a press conference.

"He's like a special edition. For me, he's probably the best midfield player in Europe. He's here for certainly a few years. He's under contract and we are pleased to have him."

Rice has registered three goals and four assists from 28 games in a West Ham shirt this term, and the 23-year-old remains contracted to the capital club until 2024 with the option of an additional 12 months.
