David Moyes 'hoping to sign Danny Ings'

Real Sociedad boss David Moyes is still hopeful of signing Burnley forward Danny Ings on a free transfer this summer.

Real Sociedad boss David Moyes has once again spoken about the Spanish club's pursuit of Burnley forward Danny Ings.

Sociedad are among the favourites to sign the Englishman on a free transfer this summer, but both Manchester United and Liverpool are also said to be in the race.

Playing time will reportedly be a key factor in Ings's decision, however, which places Sociedad in a strong position.

"I'm hopeful [that Danny Ings joins La Real]. I'd like to sign new players in order to make the team more competitive nearer to the top of the table," Moyes told reporters.

Ings has scored nine Premier League goals for Burnley this season.
