Arsenal have reportedly identified Wolverhampton Wanderers star Ruben Neves as one of four midfield targets before next Monday's 11pm deadline.
The 24-year-old, who scored his second goal of the season in the win away at Brentford last weekend, has been strongly linked with a departure from Molineux, amid interest from the likes of the Gunners, Manchester United and Chelsea.
Neves suggested in December that he sees his immediate future with Wolves; however, The Athletic claims that Arsenal will consider making a late offer for the Portugal international this month.
The report adds that Lyon's Bruno Guimaraes, Aston Villa's Douglas Luiz and RB Leipzig's Tyler Adams are three more midfield targets under consideration by Mikel Arteta.
Guimaraes has already played down rumours of a potential move to the Emirates Stadium in January, while Luiz and Adams are unlikely to leave their respective clubs this month unless a significant offer is made.
Arsenal are also in the market for a new striker and they will look to make fresh moves to sign either Everton's Dominic Calvert-Lewin or Real Sociedad's Alexander Isak, as their primary target Dusan Vlahovic is closing in on a move from Fiorentina to Juventus.
