Manchester United's new head coach will reportedly decide whether to keep hold of Anthony Martial and Donny van de Beek during this summer's transfer window.
Both players were allowed to leave Old Trafford in January, with Martial joining Sevilla on loan for the remainder of the season, while Van de Beek moved to Everton.
Neither Sevilla nor Everton have the option of signing them on permanent deals, though, and according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, a decision on their futures will be made by the club's new head coach.
Romano claims that buy options were not included as the club want their next manager to decide whether he wants the pair to be a part of the squad during the 2022-23 campaign.
Paris Saint-Germain head coach Mauricio Pochettino is believed to be the favourite to replace Ralf Rangnick, with the German, currently in charge on an interim basis, set to take on a consultancy role at the club.
However, Ajax manager Erik ten Hag is also believed to be under consideration by the 20-time English champions, who are battling for a top-four spot in the Premier League, in addition to fighting for success in the FA Cup and Champions League.
