Real Madrid are reportedly preparing to offer Toni Kroos to Manchester United as part of a bid for Paul Pogba.
Los Blancos were strongly linked with a move for Pogba during the summer transfer window but were ultimately unable to agree a price with the 20-time English champions.
According to Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda, Madrid are still determined to bring the France international to the Bernabeu and are preparing to offer Kroos to the Red Devils in exchange.
Inda claims that United were interested in Madrid's German midfielder over the summer, and the 29-year-old will be available in January despite only recently signing a new contract at the Bernabeu.
Pogba, meanwhile, is seemingly still determined to leave Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side despite failing to force a move away from Old Trafford during the summer transfer window.
The 26-year-old has missed five of United's last six matches in all competitions due to an ankle problem which could also rule him out of Sunday's clash with Liverpool.
