Mauricio Pochettino: 'Hugo Lloris wants Spurs stay'

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino says that Hugo Lloris is "happy" at the club amid speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United.

Mauricio Pochettino has insisted that Hugo Lloris has no desire to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

The 28-year-old goalkeeper has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United, particularly if David de Gea is to depart Old Trafford for Real Madrid.

However, when asked about that speculation during Tottenham's post-season tour of Australia, Pochettino claimed that Lloris is "happy" at White Hart Lane.

"There have been a lot of rumours, but Hugo wants to stay with us and we are happy with him too. He is happy and everything else is just rumour," he told reporters.

France international Lloris joined the North Londoners from Lyon in 2012.
