Real Madrid are reportedly one of three sides hoping to strike a deal for Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea this summer.
The former Atletico Madrid man has lost his status as undisputed number one at Old Trafford following the emergence of Dean Henderson, who started in their 2-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion at the weekend.
Amid reports that De Gea's relationship with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is becoming more strained, the Spaniard is being tipped to leave as Solskjaer prepares to make Henderson his first-choice goalkeeper for the 2021-22 campaign.
According to the Daily Mail, Real Madrid would be interested in signing the shot-stopper if he became available, but they are likely to face competition from Paris Saint-Germain and former club Atletico - if Jan Oblak leaves - for his signature.
The report adds that a fee of £50m could be enough to prise De Gea away from Old Trafford, but finding a club willing to fork out his £375k-a-week wages will prove difficult in the current financial climate.
The 30-year-old has kept nine clean sheets in 24 Premier League appearances this season, but he has not taken to the field since February's 0-0 draw with Chelsea.
