Report: Miranda to remain at Atletico Madrid

A report claims that Brazilian centre-back Miranda will remain with Atletico Madrid this summer.

Brazilian centre-back Miranda will reportedly remain with Atletico Madrid this summer.

The 29-year-old, who has emerged as one of the best defenders in European football, has been strongly linked with both Manchester United and Barcelona this summer.

However, according to Marca, neither team is prepared to pay Miranda's full release clause, which stands in the region of £25m.

Miranda, who failed to make his national team squad for this summer's World Cup, joined Atletico from Sao Paulo in 2011.
