Report: Napoli join Alex Song race

A report claims that Napoli have joined the race to sign Alex Song from Barcelona.

Italian outfit Napoli have reportedly joined the race to sign Alex Song from Barcelona.

The Cameroon international, who is currently with his country at the World Cup, is widely expected to leave Spain this summer following a disappointing spell at the Camp Nou.

Manchester United have been strongly linked with a move, but according to Inside Spanish Football, Napoli are preparing to submit an official bid for the central midfielder.

Song's current deal at Barcelona runs until 2017.
