Report: Wayne Rooney to make decision on Manchester United future after World Cup

Wayne Rooney could reportedly delay a decision on his Manchester United future until after the World Cup as Chelsea plan a fresh summer bid.

Wayne Rooney will reportedly make a decision regarding his Manchester United future after the World Cup with England in Brazil this summer.

The 28-year-old's future appeared to be resolved when he decided to stay put at Old Trafford for the start of David Moyes's reign following two rejected bids from Chelsea in the summer.

However, the Blues are planning to make a fresh offer at the end of the season, with Rooney likely to wait until after the World Cup to make a decision, according to The Times.

Rooney, who has denied that he asked to leave United in the summer last year, will only have 12 months of his contract remaining once the tournament comes to a close in South America.

Reports have claimed that the striker may consider leaving United sooner by buying his way out of his current contract at Old Trafford.
