Report: Manchester United to spend £75m on Angel di Maria, Mats Hummels

A report claims that Manchester United want to sign Real Madrid attacker Angel di Maria and Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels this summer.

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has reportedly given the go-ahead for the club to sign Real Madrid attacker Angel di Maria and Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels this summer.

United have already signed Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera, but are still active in the market.

Van Gaal's involvement with Netherlands at this summer's World Cup is not expected to harm United's move for the pair, with the board working on transfers behind the scenes.

According to The Guardian, United are confident of signing Di Maria and have also been given encouragement in their pursuit of Hummels.

The pair could cost in the region of £75m.
