Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly says that he would like to return to Manchester United.

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo could be in line for a move back to Manchester United, according to a report.

The 28-year-old has reportedly told a senior member of the Red Devils team that he would like to return to Old Trafford, according to the Daily Star.

Ronaldo has two years left on his contract at the Bernabeu, which could open up the possibility of a swoop from the Red Devils at the end of next season.

United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has previously revealed that he would like to bring the Portuguese international back to the club, but believed that such a deal would be impossible.

Ronaldo joined Madrid in 2009 from United in a deal worth £80m.
