Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has reportedly decided against submitting a transfer request in order to push through a move away from Old Trafford.
The 27-year-old is believed to be feeling 'angry and confused' at comments made by manager David Moyes, who suggested that the England international will play second fiddle to striker Robin van Persie.
Amid Rooney's unsettled state, Chelsea are said to have launched a bid in the region of £20m, which was swiftly rejected by the Premier League champions, who have maintained that Rooney is not for sale.
Despite reports claiming that the forward is eager to leave the club, Rooney will not formally ask to depart the Red Devils, according to the Daily Star.
Rooney previously expressed his desire for a transfer in 2010.
