Sheffield United could reportedly make an approach for Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo when the January transfer window opens for business.
The Argentine, who saw a loan spell at Estudiantes cut short earlier this year due to the coronavirus outbreak, has not made a single first-team appearance for the Red Devils this season.
Rojo turned out for United's Under-23s side at the end of October but has not been used since, fuelling suggestions that he could be on his way out of Old Trafford at the start of 2021.
According to The Star, Sheffield United want to sign a new centre-back during the winter transfer window, having lost Jack O'Connell, Enda Stevens and Ethan Ampadu to injury.
The report claims that Rojo has emerged as an option for the Blades, with the 30-year-old 'known to boast admirers' at the Premier League club.
The South American has made 122 appearances for the 20-time English champions since arriving from Sporting Lisbon in 2014 but his current deal is due to expire next June.
