Tottenham Hotspur may reportedly move for West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Sam Johnstone if Hugo Lloris decides to leave North London in the summer.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly identified West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Sam Johnstone as a potential summer signing.

Hugo Lloris has been the long-time number one at the North London outfit, making a total of 386 starts since joining the club in 2012.

However, the Frenchman, who will turn 35 years of age next month, may potentially depart Spurs at the end of his contract next June.

According to the Daily Mail, Spurs are continuing to assess their options with Johnstone towards the top of their shortlist.

Regardless of whether West Brom earn an immediate return to the Premier League, the England stopper is expected to depart The Hawthorns when his deal reaches an end at the same time as Lloris's.

Despite also possessing an interest in Manchester United stopper Dean Henderson, signing Johnstone on a free transfer may be deemed better value for money.
