Aston Villa 'keen to make Tom Cleverley switch permanent'

Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood is reportedly given the go-ahead to offer Tom Cleverley a permanent deal.

Aston Villa are reportedly keen to sign Tom Cleverley on a permanent contract at the end of the season.

The midfielder is currently on loan at Villa Park from Manchester United until the end of the season, and Villans boss Tim Sherwood apparently considers him an integral part of the squad.

Sherwood has been given clearance to offer Cleverley, who becomes a free agent this summer, a permanent deal worth £40,000 a week, reports The Telegraph.

Everton are also said to be interested in the 25-year-old, who is believed to be giving serious consideration to the Villa offer.
