Middlesbrough have reportedly agreed a fee with Espanyol for Uruguayan striker Christian Stuani.
The 29-year-old is currently on holiday after playing in the Copa America, but the Teesside Gazette claims that a €4m (£2.8m) offer has been accepted by the Spanish side.
However, it is thought that the Catalan outfit are unlikely to make much profit from the deal as Stuani's former club Reggina are entitled to 50% of any fee.
Espanyol are also said to owe Reggina an instalment of their previous deal for the international and will therefore recoup just £800,000 from the transfer.
Stuani has scored 18 goals in 71 appearances for Espanyol.
