Everton defender Ramiro Funes Mori is linked with a move to Mexican club Monterrey.

Everton defender Ramiro Funes Mori is allegedly in talks with Mexican club Monterrey.

The Liga MX side has tabled a £7.5m bid for the centre-back, according to reports in Mexico (via ESPN).

The Argentina international, who joined Everton from River Plate for £9.5m in 2015, would link up with his brother Rogelio, who plays as a forward at Monterrey.

Funes Mori spent much of last season out injured and found himself behind Michael Keane, Phil Jagielka and Ashley Williams in the Blues pecking order upon his return.

The defender was linked with a move to Italian side Lazio last month.
