Walter Mazzarri is disappointed with Napoli's defeat at Juventus but is happy with the way his players played against the Italian champions.

Napoli coach Walter Mazzarri has praised his side for their performance against Juventus in Serie A on Saturday.

The Naples outfit suffered a 2-0 defeat in Turin, but Mazzarri is happy with the attitude his players showed at Juventus Stadium.

"I complimented my team, as I am happy with the way they played and kept possession in Turin," said the Italian. "It's a shame we lost, but if we continue with this attitude and belief then we can go far.

"Playing away against Juventus is very difficult. Apart from the long ball for Alessandro Matri, we weren't really struggling and I got the sensation Juve wouldn't hurt us, but then this goal came (opening goal from Martin Caceres) from a corner.

"I knew the only way probably to score against us was from a corner and that proved to be the case."

Napoli are now three points behind Juventus in second place in the league table.
