Patrick Kluivert has been appointed as Louis van Gaal's assistant coach at the Netherlands, combining his duties with his coaching role at FC Twente.
Van Gaal replaced Bert van Marwijk as Dutch coach after the poor Euro 2012 campaign and has chosen former striker Kluivert as his number two.
"His work with Netherlands will be combined with his position at the club," Twente chairman Joop Munsterman told De Telegraaf.
"We think this will be a great experience for him and offers him a great opportunity."
Kluivert scored 40 goals for Netherlands throughout his career.
