Johan Cabaye believes that Newcastle United's "team spirit" will help keep the Magpies near the top of the table.

Yohan Cabaye believes that Newcastle United can remain near the top of the Premier League table, despite a number of disappointing results.

The Magpies have only claimed one point from their last three matches following an impressive unbeaten run and reaching third in the league table.

"There have been two or three tough games and we have been able to see what we can do," The Mirror quotes Cabaye as saying. "Every game we go into to win, and now we have to do that again to help the team climb the league.

"There are a lot of games coming up now which we can win. The team spirit is still good here and by staying near the top five or six means it stays good.

"This team here has integrated very quickly - but there is a long way to go and we can only improve and grow together from this spell."

Alan Pardew's side take on Norwich City at Carrow Road on Saturday.
