Papiss Cisse 'hopes to play in Newcastle United's crucial Premier League run-in'

Papiss Cisse is reportedly hopeful of playing in Newcastle United's final three home games of the Premier League season.

Papiss Cisse is reportedly hopeful of playing in Newcastle United's final three games of the season as the team fight to stay in the top flight.

The Magpies have had a torrid time of late having lost all of their last eight matches, and they currently reside two points above relegation.

Cisse's absence has been down to a seven-match ban for spitting at Manchester United's Jonny Evans, as well as knee problems.

However, according to The Chronicle, the forward, who has scored 11 goals for the North-East outfit this season, is hopeful of returning to the fold for the remaining games of the season.

John Carver's Newcastle side will face West Bromwich Albion at St James' Park on Saturday.
