Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew finding stadium ban "frustrating"

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew says that he found his stadium ban "frustrating" during last weekend's defeat to Fulham.

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has admitted that watching his team via a television screen was "frustrating" as he carries out a three-match stadium ban.

The 52-year-old was hit with the punishment for appearing to headbutt Hull City midfielder David Meyler during the Magpies' 4-1 win at the KC Stadium on March 1.

Pardew was not permitted to attend Craven Cottage for last weekend's 1-0 defeat to Fulham.

"It was a bit frustrating in terms of it being difficult to assess the mood of the stadium and difficult to assess the mood of the players when it is coming through a flat screen," Sky Sports News quotes Pardew as saying.

"I'm a little bit undecided at the moment where I'm going to be [for next Saturday's game] but one thing is, I'm not going to be in the stadium."

Newcastle, who will be without Pardew on the touchline for a further four games, will take on Crystal Palace at St James' Park this weekend.
