Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew was left pleased with his side's performance, despite their goalless draw at home to Swansea City.
The result at the Sports Direct Arena has seen the Magpies rise to sixth in the Premier League table.
"We did everything but score. The movement was good, we asked questions with balls into the box, we were direct when we needed to be and patient when we needed to be," Pardew told Sky Sports News. "We just couldn't get the breakthrough.
"They got a lot of bodies behind and worked hard, but I couldn't have asked for anything more from my boys."
Newcastle host West Bromwich Albion in the league on Wednesday evening.
