Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew: "We owe our fans"

Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew believes that his side owe the club's supporters a performance when they take on Swansea City on Saturday.

Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew feels that he and his side "owe" the club's supporters a performance in their clash with Swansea City at St James' Park.

The Magpies have lost their last four games in a row in the Premier League without scoring a goal, leading to much frustration on Tyneside.

Pardew told the club's official website: "We owe our fans - they pay good money and we have a stadium that really and truly should dictate proceedings for us, and we have to put that in gear.

"To put it in gear, you need to play well and the last couple of home games, we haven't, so we really need to give them something to shout about on Saturday."

Newcastle are ninth in the league with four games remaining this season.
