Loic Remy expects more Newcastle United goals

Loic Remy is confident that he will score "a lot of goals" during his season-long loan spell at Newcastle United.

Loic Remy has promised to score "a lot of goals" during his season-long loan spell at Newcastle United after opening his account for the club on Saturday.

The French striker, who joined the Magpies from Queens Park Rangers in August, netted twice during Saturday's 3-2 defeat to Hull City in the Premier League.

"I think I can score a lot of goals here for the fans, for the club and for me," Sky Sports News quotes Remy as saying. "I scored two goals, but I'm not finished yet. I can score a lot of goals here.

"I try to do my best in every game. I scored two goals, but it wasn't enough, so I will try next game to work hard again and hopefully we can win."

Newcastle return to action on Wednesday when they host Leeds United in round three of the Capital One Cup.
