Bafetimbi Gomis has reportedly declared that he wants £100k a week from his new club as he prepares to become a free agent this summer.
The Lyon forward is believed to be attracting interest from a number of clubs across Europe, with Newcastle United rumoured to be one of the favourites for his signature.
However, the 28-year-old's wage demands could potentially be a stumbling block for the Magpies, despite Alan Pardew recently claiming that they will be investing in the squad this summer.
According to The Mirror, Sunderland, Swansea City and West Ham United are all reluctant to follow up their interest with a formal offer for Gomis.
Newcastle were reported to be close to signing Gomis last summer, before eventually securing a loan deal for Loic Remy.
