Manchester United reportedly ponder a double swoop for Newcastle United pair Demba Ba and Cheick Tiote.

Manchester United are reportedly keen on snatching Demba Ba and Cheick Tiote from Newcastle United this summer.

The Magpies pair have been touted as potential departures from the Sports Direct Arena this summer, with some reports suggesting that Newcastle boss Alan Pardew may struggle to keep hold of his star players.

It is thought that United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is keen to launch bids for both Ba and Tiote during the summer window after claiming that he is considering "one or two deals", according to The Express.

Meanwhile, the former Premier League champions have already acquired Borussia Dortmund playmaker Shinji Kagawa and youngster Nick Powell.
