Newcastle striker Demba Ba's potential move to Chelsea reportedly hits some stumbling blocks in an unproductive meeting with the club.

Demba Ba's potential move to Chelsea in the January transfer window has hit some stumbling blocks, according to Sky Sports News.

It emerged yesterday that representatives of the Newcastle forward were due to meet with Chelsea to discuss a possible move.

However, it seems that the discussions were not productive and if Ba is to leave the Magpies in January, Chelsea seems an unlikely destination.

The Senegalese international, who is Newcastle's top goalscorer with 13 in the league, is said to have a release clause in his contract of around £7m.
