Northampton Town's Chris Wilder, Rod McDonald lead February shortlists

Northampton Town duo Chris Wilder and Rod McDonald lead the nominees for February's Manager and Player of the Month awards in League Two.

League Two runaway leaders Northampton Town have been recognised in both the division's Manager and Player of the Month nominations for February.

The Cobblers are 13 points clear at the top of the table and manager Chris Wilder is the leading contender for Manager of the Month having led his side to 16 points out of a possible 18 last month, while Rod McDonald led the defence to concede only one goal in that time.

The other contenders for Manager of the Month are AFC Wimbledon's Neal Ardley, Nathan Jones of Luton Town and Leyton Orient's Kevin Nolan.

As for the players, Scott Boden, who scored all of Newport County's goals last month, York City striker Bradley Fewster and Plymouth Argyle's Oscar Threlkeld are the other nominees.

The winners will be announced on Friday.
