Norwich City midfielder Graham Dorrans has admitted that his side were disappointed with the level of their intensity in their 3-0 loss to Southampton.
The Canaries fell to their first away defeat under the tenure of Alex Neil as a brace from Dusan Tadic and a strike from Graziano Pelle fired the Saints to the victory after Steven Whittaker saw red for two bookable offences.
Dorrans told the club's official website: "We didn't start with the intensity we've shown in recent matches, and we paid the price.
"Even before we went down to 10 men I didn't feel we were playing that well. We weren't on it today, which was disappointing.
"At this level you get punished for that. We've got a break next week then we'll make sure we put it right in the next game."
Norwich are 14th in the Premier League after four matches this season.
