Chris Hughton to leave Norwich City at end of the season?

Norwich City manager Chris Hughton reportedly tells his friends that he expects to leave the club at the end of the season.

Norwich City manager Chris Hughton is reportedly expecting to leave the club at the end of the season.

The Canaries are four points above the Premier League relegation zone, and Hughton has had to deflect questions regarding his future.

He recently said that all of his thoughts were focused on improving Norwich's league form, but Goal.com claims that he has told friends that he will leave Carrow Road in the summer.

The report adds that Norwich chief executive David McNally, who admitted in February that the club were keeping their options open, has now decided that a new manager is required.

Senior figures at the club are said to be unhappy with the lack of success from Hughton's summer spending spree, which saw him splash out around £27m on six players.

Celtic boss Neil Lennon and former Cardiff City manager Malky Mackay have been linked with the job.
