Norwich call a press conference for 2.30pm today, where they are expected to confirm Chris Hughton as their new manager.

Norwich City have announced that they will hold a press conference at 2.30pm today.

The Canaries are expected to name Birmingham City boss Chris Hughton as their new manager after the two clubs reportedly agreed compensation.

Hughton will replace Paul Lambert at Carrow Road after he joined Aston Villa earlier this week, having led Norwich from League One to mid-table in the Premier League.

Hughton, who also has Premier League experience with Newcastle, spent last season in charge of Birmingham City, guiding them to the playoffs only for the Blues to be dumped out by Blackpool in the semi-finals.

The 53-year-old had been in charge at St. Andrews for just under a year, having joined them on June 22, 2011.
