Neil Adams: 'Andrew Surman, Wes Hoolahan have Norwich City futures'

Andrew Surman and Wes Hoolahan are key players at Norwich City, according to manager Neil Adams.

Norwich City manager Neil Adams has insisted that both Andrew Surman and Wes Hoolahan are a part of his plans for next season.

Midfielder Surman spent last season on loan with Bournemouth and had been tipped to return to the South Coast on a permanent basis, while Republic of Ireland international Hoolahan has been strongly linked with a switch to Aston Villa.

However, Adams has revealed that he has told the pair just how important they are to his squad.

"Everyone will be aware [Surman] was away on loan last season and probably he came back wondering did he think he had a future here? Well, he certainly knows now and also, how I have used him in this pre-season, just shows what I think about him," Adams told the Eastern Daily Press.

"He makes us tick and I thought he got us going on the front foot and I have been delighted with his attitude and application. I've said the same about Wes Hoolahan. I've sat him down two or three times and told him how important I think he can be for us."

Norwich begin their Championship campaign this coming Sunday with a trip to Surman's former club Wolverhampton Wanderers.
