Michail Antonio: 'Our confidence has been damaged'

Michail Antonio admits that the confidence of the Nottingham Forest players has taken a hit after a run of seven games without a win.

Nottingham Forest winger Michail Antonio has admitted that the team's confidence has taken a hit following a run of seven games without a win.

Their wait for a Championship success continued on Saturday as Blackburn Rovers ran out 3-1 winners at the City Ground.

Antonio says that Stuart Pearce's side must get back to winning ways when they visit Huddersfield Town on Saturday.

"A win is just what it takes now, definitely. As soon as you get that win, you get that confidence back and you know that you can win. Right now, it is just not happening for us. We are not playing too badly, it is just not happening for us," he told the Nottingham Post.

"We need to show our character now. There have been times this season where we have gone behind or we have had to show our character and we have done that; we have fought back.

"Right now, we just need to get a win, however we get it. It would be particularly nice to get a win at home, but a win anywhere, home or away, is what we need right now."

Forest are currently seventh in the table, one point adrift of the playoff places.
