Stuart Pearce: Nottingham Forest 'aware of FFP stipulations'

Nottingham Forest manager Stuart Pearce admits that they could be forced to "deal with" a transfer embargo which is threatening to derail their January window plans.

Stuart Pearce has admitted that Nottingham Forest could be forced to "deal with" a transfer embargo which is threatening to derail their January window plans.

The Championship promotion hopefuls will find out next month whether they will be punished for breaching financial fair play regulations with their March 2013 accounts.

Pearce has revealed that he is still pursuing the permanent signing of Crystal Palace loanee Jack Hunt, but is "aware" that Forest's hopes of completing that deal rest on whether they are sanctioned by the Football League.

"We do think about that [the impact of FFP rules]," he told the Nottingham Post. "At this moment in time the Football League are talking about the situation and I believe there is a vote on it in early November.

"We will definitely know something then, with regards to that. I am kept informed by the chief executive about that.

"But we are aware of all the stipulations that could come in to play and we will have to deal with it. If an embargo does come our way, we will have to deal with that."

Pearce has claimed that Forest will not make another bid for right-back Hunt, 23, until Palace lower their "ludicrous" valuation.
